“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and grief, from weakness and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, and from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men.”

Narrated by Anas ibn Malik and recorded by al-Bukhari. The pairs are deliberate, and the commentators take them two at a time: anxiety and grief (one about what is coming, one about what has gone), incapacity and laziness (cannot and will not), cowardice and miserliness (withholding the self, withholding the wealth), and then two things that put a person under another’s power — debt, and being overborne by men.
