The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) orders us to make things light and easy for people and not put them into difficulty in any religious or worldly matter - within the limits of what Allah made lawful and legislated.

عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «يَسِّرُوا وَلَا تُعَسِّرُوا، وَبَشِّرُوا وَلَا تُنَفِّرُوا».
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Make matters easy and do not make them difficult, and give people glad tidings and do not drive them away."
What does Sahih al-Bukhari 69 mean?
Narrated by Anas ibn Malik, and agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. It was said as instruction to those being sent out to teach, which is why each half has a paired warning: make it easy, do not make it hard; give good news, do not drive people off. The scholars add the limit that keeps it from becoming permissiveness — the easing is within what Allah made lawful, not beyond it.
