The explanation

What does Sahih al-Bukhari 1417 mean?

Narrated by ‘Adi ibn Hatim and recorded by al-Bukhari, from a passage where the Prophet (peace be upon him) had just described every person standing before their Lord with no interpreter between them. The half date is chosen for its size: the hadith is answering the excuse of having nothing worth giving, and it adds that whoever cannot find even that should give a good word.
