Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

Yet there is another group of people who have faith in Allah and the Afterlife who ask their Lord for blessing in this world and the ability to do good, just as they ask Him for entry into Paradise and safety from the punishment of the fire of Hell.
The plain meaning, from Al-Mukhtasar fi at-Tafsir
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
But among them is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
What does Quran 2:201 mean?
The verse is set against the one before it. Al-Baqarah has just described people who pray only "our Lord, give us in this world" — and says plainly they have no share in the Hereafter. This is the other prayer, and the contrast is the teaching: it does not renounce this life, it asks for good in both and then asks for protection from the Fire. Anas reported that it was the supplication the Prophet (peace be upon him) made most often, in a narration agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
