Say - O Messenger: “O Lord, forgive my sins, grant me Your mercy, and You are the best of those who show mercy”.

وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ وَٱرْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
And, O Muḥammad, say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."

What does Quran 23:118 mean?
This is the last verse of Surah al-Mu’minun — a surah that opens by describing the believers who have succeeded and closes, after a long account of those who rejected the message, with the Prophet (peace be upon him) being taught to say this. The order is worth sitting with: after all of it, the final word is not a verdict on them but a request for mercy for himself.
