Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.
“Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.”
So that Allah can give them the full reward of their actions and increase them from His grace, as this is His domain. He is Forgiving of the sins of those who are described with these qualities and Appreciating of their good actions.
The plain meaning, from Al-Mukhtasar fi at-Tafsir
لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ
That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.
What does Quran 35:30 mean?
The verse before it describes the people meant: those who recite the Book of Allah, keep up the prayer, and spend from what they were given, secretly and openly, hoping for a trade that will not perish. This is the answer to that hope. The second name is the unusual one — ash-Shakur, the Appreciative: Allah described as the one who acknowledges what His servants do.
