The explanation

What does Quran 26:80 mean?

This is one line from Ibrahim’s (peace be upon him) description of his Lord to his people, and the list around it is what gives it its force: the one who created me and guides me, who feeds me and gives me drink, who will cause me to die and then bring me to life. Illness is the only item where he does not say “He gives” — he attributes the cure to Allah, and leaves the sickness unassigned.
