The explanation

What does Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2499 mean?

Narrated from Anas ibn Malik and recorded by al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah. The first half is the part that changes how the second reads: sinning is stated as the ordinary condition of being human, not as the exception. What is left to distinguish people, then, is not whether they fall but what they do next — and the superlative in the hadith is given to the ones who turn back.
