“Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.”

The surah describes the earth shaking and giving up what it holds, and ends on this measure: nothing is too small to be seen again. Ibn Kathir preserves the story of an old man who asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) for something comprehensive to recite; he was given this surah, and said, “By the One who sent you with the truth, I will never add anything to it.” The Prophet said twice, “The little man has succeeded.”
