When a servant begins and ends his day with no concern but Allah alone, Allah takes on every one of his needs and carries for him everything that weighs on him.
Ibn al-Qayyim (al-Fawaid)
“When a servant begins and ends his day with no concern but Allah alone, Allah takes on every one of his needs and carries for him everything that weighs on him.”
What does Ibn al-Qayyim (al-Fawaid) mean?
From al-Fawa’id, where Ibn al-Qayyim heads it “a weighty benefit.” The sentence goes on to say that Allah frees such a person’s heart for loving Him, his tongue for remembering Him and his limbs for obeying Him — and then gives the reverse: whoever begins and ends his day with this world as his concern, Allah makes him carry its worries, griefs and troubles, and leaves him to himself.
