Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you.

O people, the resurrection and recompense on the day of judgment which Allah has promised you are true without a doubt, so the pleasures of the worldly life and its desires should not deceive you from preparing for this day through good actions, nor should the Satan deceive you by his adornment of falsehood and by inciting you to incline towards the worldly life.
The plain meaning, from Al-Mukhtasar fi at-Tafsir
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ
O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver i.e., Satan.
What does Quran 35:5 mean?
Surah Fatir addresses all people, not only believers, and it names two separate deceptions. The first is the world itself — its pleasures and its urgency, which crowd out any preparation for the day being promised. The second, in the same breath, is “the chief deceiver”: the commentators identify him as Satan, whose work is described here not as forcing anyone but as making falsehood look good.
