“In deliberation there is safety, and in haste there is regret.”

A classical Arabic proverb whose two halves rhyme in the original — as-salamah against an-nadamah. The Sunnah says something close to it and assigns the two speeds: deliberateness is from Allah, and haste is from Satan, in a hadith recorded by al-Tirmidhi.
