And I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of His servants.
“And I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of His servants.”
But they rejected his advice, and so he said: “You will remember the advice I gave you and you will regret not accepting it. And I entrust all my affairs over to Allah alone. Allah is Seeing of His servants; nothing of their actions is hidden from Him”.
The plain meaning, from Al-Mukhtasar fi at-Tafsir
فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ ۚ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَصِيرٌۢ بِٱلْعِبَادِ
And you will remember what I now say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of His servants."
What does Quran 40:44 mean?
These are the last words of the believer of Pharaoh’s household — a man who had hidden his faith and finally spoke, warning his people and being refused. He does not argue further and he does not threaten. He hands the matter over and states what he knows: that Allah sees His servants. The verse after this reports that Allah protected him from the evil they plotted.
